Romance. verb /rōˈmans/ /ˈrōˌmans/
an expression of one’s love, or one’s deep emotional desires to connect with another person.
Such a simple word, yet it evokes so many images in one’s mind. There are times that romance abounds. Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, first dates, proms; but there is one day that romance in all it’s glory stands out among all these other days…your wedding day. No matter what the current trends may be, no matter how small or large the event, a wedding day should be filled with romantic gestures and beautiful surroundings. That is what Heidi Hopp at A Slice of Life Photography believes and how she creates her images.
Classically trained back in the days of film (hey, what’s that?), Heidi knows how to find the right light, the perfect setting, and creates these little moments between a bride and groom that tell a story in just one photograph. One of her favorite venues to find these great settings is the Rancho Bernardo Inn with all it’s great nooks and crannies of wonderful backgrounds and delightful lighting. Her main objective at each wedding is to make sure each bride and groom have an amazing day that’s filled with great times with their friends and family. She likes to document all the emotions and expressions that take you back to that moment in time and relive exactly what you were thinking and feeling. In this way, your wedding photographs will be timeless and your great great grandchildren will enjoy viewing your photographs instead of giggling at them.
Her home studio is located less than 10 minutes from the Rancho Bernardo Inn, on Via Rancho Parkway in Escondido. Her packages range in price from $1250 to $4900 and include either one photographer or two photographers. And her much coveted wedding albums have won her the prestigious “San Diego Wedding Album Photographer of the Year” three years in a row from the Professional Photographers of San Diego County.
If you are looking for someone who is a romantic at heart, understands that photographing a wedding is more than just taking pictures, and someone who has the experience to create some amazing work, than give Heidi a call. She would be happy to sit down with you to discuss your wedding day, what you are looking for in your photographer, and even will help you in creating a timeline that will make your day stress-free. And hey, she might even have a warm plate of fresh baked cookies waiting for you too!
